What are you going to do next?
Promote arts and culture through the Comox Valley Art Gallery, apply for grants, make art, do some gardening. I'd like to travel and do some artists' residencies abroad eventually - my goal is to do at least one a year. Starting next year.

Can I use your art for a tattoo on myself?

Do you take commissions?
yes

What do you use to paint with?
usually acrylic paints and not always with brushes...I've tried newspaper, sticks, household objects - but I don't do a lot of paintings

How long does it take you to finish a painting?
that depends on the painting, size, intricacy - but I don't do a lot of paintings

How much time do you spend making art?
maybe 8 hours a week, but if there's a deadline looming, then it's 12-14 hours on days off and 4 - 8 on work days

What is your favourite medium?
i like working with everything; it just depends of what the idea that particular piece of art is getting across and the media will be chosen accordingly - video for comments on media for example

Art school must be so much fun, is that true?
its hard work and has fun times and hellish times, just like everything else

How long have you been an artist?
since forever

Who is your favourite artist?
I have many artists I admire: Christo & Jeanne Claude, Tom Freidman, Doh Ho Suh are a few.

What kind of art do you like?
There are too many answers to list...a lot of contemporary art, a little of modern, a little of classical and Baroque, urban art, digital and new media art,

What kind of art do you dislike?
This is difficult to answer...it's like saying what kind of people do you dislike, words come to mind, but try and describe what an unlikable quality in a person generally looks like...

Who is Wendy Chiang?
She is a character I created. A motivational speaker for artists. She wears a power suit and gives seminars on how to be extremely successful as an artist. She has written a million-copy best selling book and travels the world promoting her seminar and giving advice.
